CKSA – Logo Creation Process

The Cayman Kids Science Academy project was brought to me by the president/CEO of Cayman Chemical. He & a group of scientists started a weekend academy that was focused on teaching youth some basics of science & chemistry. Shown below are the concepts & final approved logo that I created during the brand building process.

Initially I crated 3 concepts that were more fun & playful that would appeal to both youth & parents

The second set of logo concepts were a little more focused after receiving direction of wanting a “hands on” look since the classes have a hands on science/chemistry approach.

In the third round of concepting, I was asked to take the “hands on” look but also add an “ion” type graphic to help clearly demonstrate the science aspect of the academy.

This is the final approved logo for Cayman Kids Science Academy. The final concept included the addition of science coat sleeves to give the hands more of a base & create less of a floating appearance. Also, the colors were adjusted & finalized.
